New York, NY (April 3, 2025) – Cadet Legal advised D.K. Smith & Co. (“DKS”) in its independent sponsor acquisition of Kloth, Inc. d/b/a “PLANET by Lauren G” (“PLANET”), a luxury clothing company. Terms of the transaction, announced on April 3, were not disclosed.
Based in Sunrise, Florida, PLANET is a premier designer, manufacturer, and retailer of timeless, ageless, and seasonless fashion. With decades of consistent revenue and a loyal customer base, the parties see opportunity for growth capital and operational experience from DKS to accelerate PLANET’s growth.
D.K. Smith & Co. is the middle-market private equity division of DKS Capital Partners, an alternative asset manager with offices in Coral Gables, Florida, and Jackson, Wyoming. The private equity division specializes in control acquisitions, partnering with founders who need growth capital or institutional know-how to propel their businesses to the next level. DKS Capital Partners has an active 2025 pipeline, including deals in hospitality commercial real estate and industrial private equity.
